A Veronica Mars Movie?

Aug 20, 2008 13:59

So, I read this on EW.com yesterday and I found myself torn. I have some nostalgia still for VM and a movie kind of made me smile, but then I remembered that Season 3 wore me down a bit. And I was never sure about the Season 4 concept of the FBI, although the pilot they did for it did make me think twice. What do you think?

The thought of what he could do in 90 minutes to damage the show even more is terrifying!

I have mixed feelings. I loved the show, still do, but S3 did fall off the rails a little. I'd have to know more about the set up before I got on board.

This just smacks of Rob becoming a bad fanfic author, with the clout to get the stars to act out his work.

Not that I've read them or anything, but from the sound of some of the commentary, it seems like that's what some folks think about that Stephanie Meyers person and her Twilight books.

I'm torn as well -- I definitely would want to know more about the concept (and who else from the show would be in the movie), but if they did make one, I would probably see it eventually no matter what. I wouldn't be able to quench the curiosity. I just might not ever pay to see it in a theater.

When Cassidy Casablancas was revealed as the purveyor of all things evil in season 2, the show became dead to me. Dead. No movie for you.

Oh, that's a good reason. Hmm....

Yep, I gave up on the show after that episode. Never even saw Season 3. When Logan and Veronica got to be too much for me, I tuned in for Mac (& Cassidy). How could they screw over her character like that?

Yes, poor Mac. Screwed over seriously -- although not literally. I think it's that whole destruction of the innocent thing. But it was pretty gratuitous. She pretty much got used to help the audience like Cassidy/Beaver and then thrown away at the end. She was worth so much more.
