Are we doing this the official way, in that the Shadow's strength will be relative to how supressed it is, or are we cheating?

Also;

giant mutated TRUE FORMS, yes or no?

Oh, gods, if we did that, can you imagine how powerful Tsubaki's would be? Seriously? Go ahead and use it to a limited extent, but we're going to have to cheat in some cases to make defeating them even possible.

Uggh, I haven't played P4, so I wasn't aware of a giant mutated true form. That's when they reject/deny their shadow self and refuse to accept them, right?

Well, one of the most powerful in the game was someone who supressed their stuff so hard their shadow had a SPLIT PERSONALITY to deal with all that shit and it wasn't THAT tough.

Yeah-if you reject the shadow, they basically transform into a visual metaphor for what they represent. Someone with control issues becomes a dominatrix carried by puppets, someone feeling trapped and wanting to rescued becomes a giant bird in a cage, someone infantile becomes a giant floating baby thing. Stuff like that.

We did a Shadow plot over at DramaDramaDuck with boss fights and everything, shit was pretty cash, so I've done research into it.

Ah ha. I don't know why this didn't show up in my research, but probably because I was tracking down the psychology of it.

I'm all about boss fights, those are awesome. We'll open this up as an option for any writer that wants to use it. So yes to mutated forms if someone wants to have a boss fight style throw down and yes to having more power to those shadows that were more heavily suppressed.

So I have a quick question about this that may need mod approval.

I know how the shadows work in Persona 4, but Johnny boy here could be a bizarre...exception? See, in his comic, there are two beings that sprang out of Johnny's mind known as the doughboys. And, at the beginning of the series where Johnny attempts (half-heartedly) to restrain himself to some degree, the doughboys continually bring up what Johnny actually wants: one of them (Psycho Doughboy) trying to get Nny to head towards suicide, and the other (Mr. Eff) driving him to far fiercer acts of homicide. Essentially, the doughboys somewhat fulfill the role of Johnny's "shadow" in the comic.

So essentially, what I'm asking is if instead of the "yellow-eyed version of himself that turns into a monster" for Johnny's shadow, I'm wondering if the doughboys could show up as his shadow this week instead. And, if the answer is yes, if you'd mind me using an extra icon journal for the doughboys responses to things in one of Johnny's threads I'll be setting up for this week.
