Who: Howard Stark and Bucky Barnes When: Monday morning Where: 1C Summary: Where a science man with an iron back bone, and a steel plated warrior talk weaponry, and what comes after a war. Rating: PG Warnings: Language, tops.
When Howard said he had some things to show him, Bucky was intrigued, of course. He knows what sorts of things Tony's built in the past, but when Tony was here, he didn't seem too ready to build anything useful. His father, though... Real go-getter, this one. And they can use whatever they can get to help out with this attempt on the station.
He knocks briefly on the door before he makes his way in. There's no sense in waiting to be let in, Howard knows he's coming. "So what have you got here?" Quite an array of... things, from what he can tell. Armor pieces, could come in handy for someone less bulletproof, and... Ahhh. Weaponry.
Howard looked up from when the door opened, and he flashed Bucky a brief smile before he raised to his feet. He straightened his coat as he did, purposeful. "A number of items, actually. Things I thought I might be useful."
He gestured towards the armor. "I scavenged through the panels in the empty room - with help from Jenny Sparks - and we found that most of the wiring here is made of the same metal that the outer doors are made of. I smelted it down with steel, to make sturdier armor. I wasn't sure what the assault forces would be facing, so I got creative. It's good work - solid - should keep the bruises and bumps to a minimum."
He walked over to the weapons, looking at them wryly, "And I came up with a few pop guns, per request. Not my best work but ... if you care to step back, I'll give a brief demonstration."
"Sparks? British dame, storms around like she runs the place, throws hissyfits? Nice woman." Hear his sarcasm. "She seems to like you."
Bucky moves to inspect the armor, nodding briefly. "Should be good for some of the less bulletproof people around here. The staff will probably be armed."
Pop guns, huh? They look like more than that to Bucky, but he moves aside when asked. "Go ahead, I want to see what these can do."
"Are you smoked at her because she got snippy with you, or you had to get snippy with her? Or that you didn't get to tell her first that I got my 'claws in her'?" Howard said dryly, as he flicked the button on the side of the lightening gun, letting it power up. He glanced up, a smirk slipping over his face. "And yeah, I like her. She ... intrigues me. Like several women around here
