[Nill wasn't sure what, exactly, she was supposed to do except hide. Luckily, she'd happened upon the store of food and was standing idly in the kitchen, wondering if it would be okay for her to make something to eat for everyone in the shelter. She thought that maybe a cake or some cookies would cheer people up... but it wasn't her food. She didn't want to just take anything.]

[Damian brushes past her to find some water. He doesn't like being useless, but he also knew it was a waste of time to be outside with the powerhouses, as his sword wouldn't put a dent on the wall. Finding a full canteen among the provisions, he turns on his heel and goes to leave, only to finally notice the winged girl.] Oh, it's you.

[The blonde starts a bit when he walks by her, but when she sees who it is she just folds her hands behind her back and watches him. Her wings flit behind her back, and she waits patiently for him to either leave or acknowledge her, whichever comes first. At the latter, she raises a hand in greeting and smiles.]

[He's a prickly cactus child. You don't get a wave back, but he does acknowledge you with a nod of the head so that's something.]

Why are you just standing there? Trying to stay out of the way?

[There's a quiet thump--barely a shake of the buildings walls--coming from outside. Kid Flash leans somewhat carelessly against the building, looking out at where all the destruction is going on. He's supposed to be running around saving people--and he was. Until he got too tired to move. His reserves are shot.

So he slumps against the wall eating...an apple. It's the only thing he's eaten in hours and it's not enough, but at least it will keep him from crashing. Maybe.]

[Superman hands him another apple. His own- he doesn't really need to eat anyway.]

You don't look well...

[His stomach? Might just be rumbling at the sight of that second apple, but he's trying to be a good guy here.]

Ah...no problems here, man. Just getting my sand legs--or whatever. All the blasting and quaking can make a guy a little dizzy.

Eat that apple son. I recognize a superhero drained out of power when I see it.

[Been there, done that.]

"Superman!"

Lois dashed to him, relieved to see he was alright, not that he wouldn't be. But her eyes still held concern...more accurately worry.

"I don't know what's going on but,"I she looked almost frantic for a moment. "I can't find Clark."

She gripped his hand imploringly. "Please, I know you have every one else to worry about....but I need to know hes ok. With everything going on out there ...."I she refused to finish her thought.

"I can't lose him again."

"Lois- I- what?"

He really needed a moment to process that- both being jumped on like that by Lois, and what she was saying. Sure, he knew Lois wouldn't be angry enough at him (at Clark) to ignore him being in danger.

But that worry... he always felt like a huge dick on these moments. It wasn't fair to Lois to make her suffer like this.

"I will find him. I promise- just wait here? I will bring him here as soon as I am able to, but I need to know you will be alright."

Take the one hint Clark, Lois wouldn't be worried if there wasn't some feeling there. After her talk with Apollo she was looking at things from a new perspective. She had feelings for Clark that went beyond partnership.

"Thank you, I just.... there are things I haven't said to him. The last time we talked I was angry." Jealous actually but she didn't realize need to tell that to Superman.

"Bring him back to me safe." She'd hold down the fort here.

Oh, man. If Clark hadn't known Midnighter and Apollo were right about this being the most ridiculous thing he'd ever done, he certainly realized they were now.

He needed to tell her. He really did.

But first he had to reassure her, so he said good-bye to Lois and went inside the first safe empty house he could find to change clothes. Clark Kent ran inside the remains of the cape's safehouse in just a few minutes.

"L-Lois...?"

[He had stumbled in from town after assisting where he could. Turning into Abuse here had been surprising easy and quietly he wondered why he had not tried the feat before, when he had actually been trapped in this place. Still--not knowing how much longer he would be around he headed back to the safe house where he had been staying with Apollo and Midnighter before, before everyone left. He had managed to stray from the insanity that seemed to be all over the place so once he caught his breath he sunk down to sit against the side of the house, looking out over the destruction the night had brought and the night that still remained.]

[Sonny had been helping wherever he could during that time, unsure but if people needed him, why would he disobey any of the three laws? He can catch the sight of Colin returning while he had mainly spent time with him during his stay here, he does not see the harm in continuing that. He approaches, makes himself known.]

Colin Wilkes, is everything alright?

[Looking up at the other he smiles a little and nods before pushing himself to his feet. Sonny had been with him for most of the week so it was nice to see him. He didn't know how long he would be around but Sonny had become a good friend.] Everything is fine, Sonny.

Don't worry.

[A small nod and he holds out his hand to the other. The smaller one was strange, unlike any child he had yet to encounter, but he had abilities, gifts, as Dr. Lanning would have called them. He nods.] That is an emotion I have yet to master, you have nothing to fear.
