“Alessa, tell the clinic. PM, get the defenders scrambling. Alma, tell the supply runners to start moving ammunition. Come back once it’s done to report.”
He picked up his communicator and sounded the alarm. Between his runners and his message, everyone should know what to do.

Then she turned tail and ran to the clinic. She'd probably die, but she was going to do everything she could beforehand.

When Nii came back from the bathroom she looked up at him, worried.
"Could you hear what was happening, doctor?"

"It sounds serious, Miss Galmar, but I wouldn't worry. We're well defended here," he intoned. Though the question was, were they well defended enough, when they were being attacked from both inside and out...

The battle was loud. She could hear it all around them as she sat there, no mater how she tried to block it out. The battle must have been getting fiercer, since she was sure she could hear the howls of the raiders themselves.
The first Reaver burst into the room just as she was telling herself to stop imagining things.

Inside, the fortress is littered with the corpses of Reavers and bloodstains marking where the facility rats fell. Outside, twisted heaps of hoverbikes lay where they'd been blown from the sky.
The night was filled with cries, both of those too hurt to do anything more, and those trying to comprehend what they'd just lived through.

He stood in the doorway of the bedroom he'd named Command Centre, his gun in his hand. The Reaver he'd shot was still lying outside the door, groaning feebly. There was blood bubbling from it's ruin of a chest. The sound was terrible.
He raised his gun and shot once more. Blood spattered as it's skull blew apart.
It was Komui's first kill and it left him shaking so badly he could hardly stand.

Her voice resembled a machine, falling back on old training. "Status."

"We've driven out all the ones who could run. Severe casualties in this section, lighter damage across the road. No supplies were taken, but our ammunition won't last another battle."
He drops his gun into his pocket so he could wipe his hair back with both hands.
"We need to find the breach. Casualties need trating. We need to dispose of the bodies before the rot sets in. Or we could burn this house down. We don't need the extra space."
