[To say Feferi was worried was an understatement. If anything she felt sick, her stomach twisting and turning in knots every time she thought of the look on Sollux's face when he came back, every bad thing he wouldn't say etched into his expression- all the bad things that may be seared into Tavros's face too. What had she done?

She stops at Tavros's room, swalloing before knocking firmly on the door.] ... Tavros?

[There's an awful lot of shuffling behind the door - followed by loud meows, quacks, some kind of terrible bear roar and the smell of something burning (followed by Tavros scolding Nibs and saying he really liked that hostplush) - but then the noise settles down and three thuds are heard. OK, so Tavros just nonchalantly put his animals to sleep while they were having a damn fit. That's totally fine.]

[In the newborn silence, Tavros's chair squeaks as it wheels over to the door. He opens it - but not too wide - and looks up at Fefairy through the gap in the ajar space.]

... U-Uhh.

... You can, um, come in, but, I wasn't ... prepared, for visitors. The, uh-- [his eyes are puffy. It looks like he's been crying.] -- the room is a bit of a mess, so...

[She frowns- she may or may not look extremely GILLty. Hahahaha. ha.

Anyway she pushes the door a little when he says she can come in, starting to say 'Thanks' and all the aplogies when she notices his legs. She freezes, eyes widening.] Tavros, your legs- what the glub?

[Guess what Aradia, you have a firm, relentless knock at your door, one that isn't stopping. No, she needed to talk to Aradia, she needed to fix this. She owed Tavros more than that, this was just the start.]

Aradia? Aradia! It's me.

[Aradia was almost tempted to ignore the knocking, just wanting to be alone at the moment. But Feferi wasn't leaving and not answering her wasn't going to fix that. After a few minutes, she pulls herself off of her chair and opens the door.]

Hi, Feferi.

[Feferi might look a little unsettled, maybe a little bit like she had been crying and generally having a very large upset party. Perhaps. She stares at Aradia like she had something to say but now that she was here maybe she realized she didn't know how to say it.

Well. Best to dive right in.]

You- you shouldn't be mad at Tavros. He needs you- he's been through too much and he's very upset and he didn't mean to be a doofus- he wanted to kelp! [...] Help!

[Aradia needed to talk to Tavros. She needed to. She had already been feeling guilty enough before Feferi had explained things. And now that she had? Now she couldn't stand it anymore. Yet, at the same time she was finding it difficult to just knock on his door. She had managed to get to his suite just fine, but now that she was here she was feeling nervous.

For more than a few moments she just stood outside of his room, occasionally raising her fist to rap against the door but never doing it. Finally, Aradia managed to make contact, tapping it just loudly enough to be heard.]

Tavros?

[Up until now, he had wanted to see Aradia, definitely... but now that the week had progressed and Tavros was beginning to finally stop thinking about her every second of every hour, hearing her voice just fueled all the guilt and shame he had been trying to ignore. He... didn't answer the door.]

[Or he tried not to, at least. He tried to stay silent so she'd leave, but the very audible squeak of his wheelchair as he nervously rocked in it back and forth was probably enough to alert her to his presence. And the fact that he was trying not to answer her was now painfully clear.]

[That squeaking made what was happening quite obvious and it stung. It stung to know that Tavros may have not wanted to speak to her anymore. Possibly not ever. Even though that seemed unlikely, the very real possibility of her having ruined their friendship in a fit of rage pressed down on her. She knocked harder, as though trying to combat that idea.]

Tavros, please. [She sounds maybe a little desperate.] I can hear you in there.

[Fortunately for Tavros his entire horrible ordeal isn't a huge waste of time, since Aradia does hear the pathetic door knock. And it doesn't take her but a moment to open her door for him. If he's calling on her at this time in the morning it must be important.]

Tavros? [She sounds concerned. Even though they don't have a friendship anymore, she still cares about his safety.][She pauses her fretting as something occurs to her.] How did you get up here?

[The sweat is causing his hair to stick to his face, and he wipes it away angrily with one arm. He looks like he's run a god damn marathon, but he hasn't. Obviously.]

Dragged. [breathe] Up. [breeaatthe] Stairs. [breaaaaaaaaathhhhhe]

A-Aradia. [exhaaaaaale.] W-Why does-- why does your name have to have, uh, so many-- so many syllables???
