Sakura arrived beyond fashionably late. In reality, she didn't expect anyone to still be around; curiosity and a deadened sense of predictability with the world had her trailing in and wondering if she might not just be better off heading to one of her hidey-holes and passing out for the night ( ... )

This late in the proceedings Neil was bleary at best and well approaching snookered after being all too easily talked into a drinking contest with Lyle. It reminded him of just why he didn't drink all that often. Fun as it was, he didn't care for how muddled it left him.

Even hampered, Neil's usual social radar was still intact enough to notice a familiarish face as well as the fact that she was kind of by herself. Not wanting her to feel left out, Neil walked over. Slowly. Because otherwise there might be a slight wobble to his walk.

"Sakura, right? Nice to meet you in person," he said, offering a friendly smile and a hand to shake.

She looked up, neutral for the seconds it took her to remember to smile. Sakura was distracted by her own thoughts, though she gladly let them fall to the wayside in order to concentrate on the now.

"Lockon," she said, smile brightening as she took his hand, making sure to leave . Greetings she could be good at, even if the setting was one she'd not been in before. "Nice to meet you, too. It looks like you've been enjoying yourself."

After being Tsunade's student for three years, and working closely with both her and Shizune, it was easier to pick up on people's varying levels of inebriation than she'd have thought at thirteen. Funny what you learn as time goes on.

Trowa sat at the bar, sipping at a glass of water. He didn't like to drink alcohol, mostly due to the lack of inhibition but partially because of the taste. When he'd been younger, a beer had been shoved into his hands a few times and he'd never liked any of it.

The candy he'd found and was currently snacking from, however... That was a different story.
