She doesn't appear to be aware that the video feed is on, and judging by the text feed that accompanies the video she's trying to dial some sort of phone number. Those who know it would recognize it as Madoka Kaname's cellphone number from back home. She

[Sleep deprivation week just ended, for Chrissakes. She was tired. Bugfuck tired. Even though she'd slept for over twelve hours the night before.

So imagine her surprise, when she goes to check the time on her Facilliberry before turning in for the night, and--]

[--oh, look. A familiar face.]

Ho...mura...chan?

[She's tired. She's about to go to sleep. Give her credit for at least being able to attach a name to the face.]

[And then things hit her.

Suddenly, she does not want to go to bed. There's nothing she feels less like doing than sleeping.

All the things that happened back home, they come rushing back into her mind. Like a floodgate suddenly demolished.

While the things the facility did were undeniably bad, they were at least a way to escape from what happened at home.

Sayaka turned into a witch.
Homura had to kill her.
Mami went insane.
Mami killed Kyouko.
I killed Mami.
Then Homura had to kill me.

She could deny those horrible events all she wanted. She could lie. She could tell all the people she met here, that no her friends didn't go around murdering each other.

But now she could not. Reality punches her in the face, almost.

And by the looks of it, "this" Homura had not experienced anything of that magnitude. Madoka finds herself wondering what point in time she's from. She needs to choose her words carefully. She'll protect her friend's reverie if she can't protect her own.]

[She forces herself to take several deep breaths. Her mother would not encourage hyperventilating.

Her hands do not even touch the facilliberry before they stop shaking.]

[Guess who doesn't realize that her phone is doing video as well. Spoilers it's the girl on the other end that has a small on her face. She actually seems to be glad to see Kyoko.

[ Clucking her tongue in annoyance, she'll glance off to the side. Seeing Homura this cheerful really bugged her. She seems almost hopeful. ]

They were the phone numbers of my friends. I thought this was like my cellphone. I've found a few of them on the network though.

Well generally I can talk a lot faster than I can type. I'm used to using a regular keypad than a full keyboard for texting too.
