[These things are great, the faciliberries. John's pretty good with technology, one has to be in order to be a soldier or a top surgeon and luckily, John's both. He's been up for a little while, mostly staring at the bunk above him, and has decided to go perusing messages. The one from the interns is confusing. He doesn't understand the numbers just yet nor does he know anyone else's but his own. So, for now, he skips it until he can talk to Sherlock. Screaming, however, catches his attention easily. Sherlock, and without John knowing it, with Kenzi's help, has managed to procure the doctor a medical bag with halfway decent tools. Yes, he knows there are magical people here -- he doesn't believe it, of course -- but who is he not to respond to people in need?]

[It all looks the bloody same!]

[It takes him a moment to register that someone's talking at him, and he shuts himself up long enough (biting on his hands to muffle the sound totally counts as shutting up) to clumsily grab at the phone on the floor.]

3--35 C. >[Is that a mistake? Should he have kept that information more private? He doesn't know, he can't think of much besides whatever the hell is happening to his back.]

[John's there a moment later, having run up the stairs two at a time. He doesn't bother to knock, he just pushes his way inside.]

[Well. It's not like he has access to an MRI. So, battlefield triage tactics it is.]

Frag--it's like--it's like there's something wrong with my back. [Like something's trying to come out of it, but that sounds stupid.]

What the hell's happening to me?

Terry? Are you okay? I'm coming over with a first aid kit. [Not that he's feeling better, but he's going to ignore his own problems to help the other.]

Dick--what the hell is going on? [He's half snarling through gritted teeth, but for all his bravado, he's freaking out a little. All he can remember is that guy's spine literally bursting from his neck...]

I have no idea, but it's not only you who's being affected.

You going to be alright? I promise that it'll only be a few minutes unless something gets me. [He's trying to make the situation sound a little lighter.]

Right. Electricity, biology, all that-- [Shit, that next spike of pain is sharp enough to shut him up for a few seconds. When it gives way, he doesn't quite thrash in frustration. What's happening?]

35 C. [He's a little throw off by her appearance. She's beautiful.] There's--there's people already coming, though. I didn't mean to make this a big--public thing. [He's trying to keep it light, but the ragged pauses in his sentences can't be helped.]

[Seeing how it's right down the hall, Yukina is there, knocking on the door, waiting for him to give her the ok to come in.]
