8th Crack in the Universe // Amy Pond

[The feed opens at a strange angle, showing only the blank white of the facility ceiling before it starts to move. Ragged breathing can be heard while the ‘berry is shifted and tilted, as if the movements are an extreme effort to whoever is performing them. Finally, the ‘berry is propped up against the base of the wall and shows Amy Pond lying in a ( Read more... )

[The response isn't immediate, it takes a couple minutes, but finally her 'berry flickers on. Once again, Amy isn't in the shot but her breathing can be heard and she seems to be mumbling to herself.]

Right one...? Must have been. Doors unlocked... [The 'berry is slid across the floor, still showing the ceiling, but now Amy's voice is louder.]

Axel...? M-my room... Help...

Yeah-- [He shows up in her room a moment later in a swirl of darkness] Shit, Amy. [And he's down on his knees next to her, casting a Cure spell] You're a mess.

[Amy's cradling her left wrist against her chest, her fingers still wrapped tightly around the ragged wound there even though the bleeding has stopped. She lets out a shuttering breath and manages a week laugh.]

Yeah? Well, I'm feeling much better already. Could really do for a shower though. [Almost as soon as she'd swallowed the pill her fever had broken and now with the Cure spell she's feeling exceptionally good compared to the agony she was in a few minutes before.] Thank you.

I never knew you could heal. [She tries to sit up but any movement makes her dizzy so she slumps back onto the floor.]

[Good lord. Why are people here so dramatic? It's like they've never been tortured before. Elle appears on the screen, looking like a drowned cat that tried to make itself presentable and failed.]

It's not like you're going to die for good, right? You're going to come back and get tortured again, from what I've heard. So, you know. Don't rush it.

[Unless Mohinder is dead for good. In which case, yeah, the girl on the berry should be panicking some.]

[Amy's not looking much better but Axel's healing is starting to help so she manages a somewhat incredulous look.]

I don't know about you but I've never actually died before and I'd like to put it off for as long as possible. Even if I would come back.

But thanks for the advice... I guess. [She takes a moment to look over this new face.] I haven't seen you around before. What's your name?

So it's likely that people will come back? Good. I... I kinda had to kill someone in my trap. Not on purpose. Just... you know, a whoopsies. So if he comes back, that would be kind of cool.

Elle. Elle Bishop. You?

Amy Pond. Nice to meet you.

And yeah, that's usually what happens. If you die, you come back. But which is better, dying once and knowing its all over or dying over and over and over again because some people find your suffering amusing? I'd rather not give them the satisfaction if I can help it. [Amy uses one hand to push back her matted hair and make it half way presentable but it's no use.]

So where are you from, then?

Please tell me you got someone to heal you. Amy? You're alright?

[The feed opens and Amy is sitting on her bed, propped against the wall. She's cleaned herself up a bit but still hasn't gotten the luxury of a shower. She can't manage to stay upright for that long yet.]

Remus. [She says his name with a smile, very happy to see a familiar face.] Yes. Axel healed me. Not good as new yet but the bleeding's stopped and all that. [She cast her eyes down for a moment before looking at him again, her face more serious.]

Are you alright? Have you had a trap yet?

Do you need anything? Bandages? ...tea and chocolate, perhaps? [If he couldn't help heal her Remus can at least mother her afterwards, after all]

I'm fine. It's making me a little nervous I haven't had one, but... well. I'm sure it will be alright.

Funny thing about curing magic, it lets you skip the stitches. [A laugh.] I could use some bandages for my wrist I suppose. I really did a number on it. [She runs her fingers over the jagged wound that just barely managed to get knit together by the spell. She murmurs the next thought to herself.] That's going to leave a scar.

Tea and chocolate sound pretty good right now. Do you want to come by? I could do for a little company.

And you're strong, Remus. I'm sure you could make it through.
