I had an *awesome* birthday. On Sunday, I had three fabulous men in my kitchen cooking me a gourmet dinner. On Monday, I went out to dinner with my dad and my little brother. There were other festivities sprinkled throughout the weekend, and on the whole it was really really nice. :)

Woke up this morning to a massive plume of smoke alarmingly close to my house. Some quick Googling on Skylar's part told us that it was a local homeless shelter on fire 7 blocks away from our apartment. LOCAL FOLK:Got any spare shoeboxes laying around? I'm trying to overhaul the way I store my shoes (of which there are many), and need a whole bunch of normal cardboard shoeboxes for the task.
