Early Verve is so much better than their later material. A Storm in Heaven is a great album.
Bittersweet Symphony was good until about the 1000th time I heard it.

i agree. but i also sympathize with them in a way (even though i think ashcroft is a bit pretentious).

the overplaying of bitter sweet symphony was not their fault; it was as a result of allen klein screwing them. they did not make a cent off that song, and they objected heavily to the commercial use of it.

I like the new verve single.

Also, go you!

I ran a straight mile on Wednesday, something I've never done before (like you usually I run for a bit, walk for a bit, run for a bit etc). But today my legs hurt :(

go me!

i'm indifferent overall to the new verve album. as in, after listening to the whole thing, i'm not convinced enough of its goodness that i will ever purchase it. their old material was good, but as i've said, i've found it a bit derivative.

today i felt great! a bit of shin splint on my right leg, but overall i feel good!

That Sunset Rubdown track has one of the great song titles of all time. Even the album it's from, the hilariously named Shut Up I Am Dreaming, can't compete.
