Finally finished this blanket that I have been working on since 1998. I have a baby quilt all but done for a kid who is in kindergarten, if it makes you feel better. ;)

I definately hear you. A 12 year old probably won't want that blue blanket you made, but I'm hoping that my five year old friend and his mom (a friend of mine since WE were five!) will still enjoy cuddling up under the quilt I need to put a few finishing stitches into.

I hate that feeling of belated obligation though. Very tough on my self-concept... :/

Very productive! Congrats on rescuing the very pretty pinwheel blanket from UFO-dom. I approve of the reward. :-) Socks are fun.
