I decided to have a Romanian themed meal for the first day of the New Year. I started by brining 4 pork chops in salt, brown sugar, minced garlic and summer savory, an herb which is found in that other traditional Romanian dish,
"mititei or mici", which are skinless sausages, made with pork, beef and lamb
