Banana, Peanut Butter and Yogurt Chocolate Smoothie

Oct 22, 2014 16:53

While searching through my freezer, I ran across a frozen banana in a freezer bag, that had fallen to the bottom. I had most of a carton of dark chocolate milk from the orange and chocolate panna cotta I made last week, so I combined them into a rich and creamy smoothie. Not very original but still a great drink.

I bought it cause it was a special 'dark' version but I'll be happy to share. And it's only 2% fat.

I have a friend who can't eat chocolate but CAN have things with cocoa powder in them. I have a great chocolate pudding recipe that's a winner. She can also eat canned pineapple but not fresh.

I'm not overly fond of peanut butter but I have most of a container so I figured it would be a good way to use some of it. Peanut butter cookies next, probably.

I woud never think of putting peanut butter into a drink, but then I don't have much experience with peanut butter. I must remember to freeze bananas... I keep on forgetting them all the time... Sissi (http://www.withaglass.com)

Peanut butter and banana is a popular combination in the US. I don't care for either of the two, but puree them with the chocolate milk and add some yogurt for extra tang, and it was a pretty tasty drink.

I'm of the firm belief that good things are good things and we don't have to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes the wheels we have are perfectly good. :)
