OMG!!!!!! Orange and Chocolate Panna Cotta looks amazing! I love the slanted design. So cool! And the ghost holding a candy corn... Way too adorable!

The orange flavoring got overwhelmed by the chocolate, I think. Oh well, at least it WAS orange. :) The cake decorating section at the Bulk Barn had all kinds of cute Halloween themed favours like the ghosts.

I've never heard of "bloomed" gelatin -- what does it do that's different from just using it the regular way? Love the little ghosts holding the candy corn, they're so cute!

A couple of days ago Mr Psmith showed me a cute Halloween-theme idea for olive spiders -- there are a bunch of different versions, e.g. here and here.

Dry gelatin is said to 'bloom' when cold water/liquid is added to it and it swells. It can then be added to warm liquid without forming lumps. I've always been taught that gelatin needs to be used this way.

I've seen those olive spiders. Unfortunately, I don't like olives. :)
