I have a full sized food processor so when I want to chop up or grind smaller amounts it seems like such a chore to dig it out of its spot, tucked in among a bunch of other electronic gadgets, and then have to clean it and put it back. Thank you for your compliment but my rugelach always get misshapen during baking, unlike Eva's (darn her!!!) which are 'picture-perfect'. :) I am going to refrigerate the shaped rugelach on the next batch and put LESS filling inside. I have some cherry preserves in the pantry and want to dig into the jar.

I'm cheap frugal, and am reluctant to buy gadgets unless they're below a certain price point that I've determined I am willing to spend. My blender was less than $40. My food processor was less than $80. I
