Good Friday? That seems a bit unlikely as a start date. Maybe some mistake?

Yeah, I just wonder if *he*'s made a mistake. Good Friday seems a really weird day to launch a major new series. It might not be the biggest holiday in the UK, but it is a bank holiday, and I'd normally expect the schedules to be all over the place. Just seems like it'd be ratings suicide, IMO.

Still, it's not been officially announced yet, so hopefully there might be room for change...

i wouldnt be so sure! he said that the original date was the 23rd but BBC compleatly changed there mind hence all the press office nonsense, but he says this is it was desided end of last week!

i for one think friday is a stupid night for it! thursday fair enough but they are moving have i got news for you which has been on at 9 on a friday for a while apparently!

but he also said trailers start this week which is awsome! i expect it to be said by BBC not just by show runner tomorow or even later today and a website update

A2A on a Friday and Doctor Who on a Saturday, that sounds like a great Friday/Saturday to me.

I don't think there is really a bad "day" for ratings in the UK. It usually a combination of other things that brings the ratings down low any particular night.

Yup, Friday is traditionally a bad day here, too. Maybe they think they'll be okay because they now count 'referred viewing' (on the iPlayer etc.) in the ratings. I dunno. I'm not impressed with this slot, personally. But I will embrace the prog, even if it is via the iPlayer!

I wouldn't say Friday is a bad day for ratings at all. The ratings across the board recently have been shockingly bad with the soaps being the only programmes pulling in viewers but this maybe due to the lack of "good" non-talent show stuff being shown at the mo.
