That's what I told her. I don't know. This is so confusing. I wish James would just get with Lily and end this stupid thing with me.

[Remus' expression softens] Don't ever regret something like falling in love. What's happening now is awful and terrible, but don't regret love.

What James feels.. is that he's being forced to be with Lily, I think. She's been here four times now at various ages, and has been terminated. He's hurt, and scared, and he doesn't want that to happen again as much as he does love her. So it may take a while for him to heal and do anything with her again. Lily, to her knowledge, has been here once. She doesn't quite understand what James has had to go through here, only that she apparently marries him and ends up with his child, at a time in her life when she still very much dislikes him. I don't think either actually know what to do.
