Life has certainly been full of ups and downs and eventful things these past couple of days.

I, just as I feared, was not able to test into the correct level of Japanese that I would have needed for this semester. So, I have to go a semester without Japanese. I have been quite depressed about this and trying not to think about it too much, because

I'm sorry about the Japanese thing. That's a real pain in the ass. In addition to getting a tutor, can you see about tutoring someone in the level right below you? That should help you to keep up your Japanese, and you might even be able to get paid for it, too.

I'm glad you've got stuff worked out with the townhouse, and it's neat that you've got another roommate. That should help keep the rent down, too, right?

Also, gender studies and a class about fandom? I want your class schedule!

I'll have to see what I can do about Japanese.

Our rent is super cheap now (under $200 per person, plus utilities)!

So far, Gender Studies seems like a promising class. I'm super looking forward to the fandom class tomorrow!
