Yesterday, I went downtown with Allison, Alyssa, and Meghan. We went to hang out with Elise at her new apartment. In the afternoon, all of us went to the Taste of Chicago. Aha, I've been to Taste of Chicago! It's always zomg delicious and there's that crazy log ride thing and fried catfish om nom nom. That's what the Culture Fest at IU reminded me of, actually!

Huh, I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it. Culture Fest is similar to the Taste, except the Taste is just 10 times bigger.

Shark? Really? How was it cooked? /end wanna-be chef chat

Sounds like you had fun! Also, give Allison, Alyssa, and Meghan my regards.

...Has Allison gotten back news yet? I think it was supposed to be in July...

I believe the dish was called Shark Veracruz. It was covered in a sauce that consisted of tomato chunks and some capers (I'm sure there were some other things in the sauce too, but the tomatoes and capers are what I remember).

Allison got into nursing school, so she'll be staying at IU! She and Alyssa aren't going to be at the GV anymore, but we'll still get to see them around campus. They actually aren't going to be living together this year.

I've never had capers, truthfully. Mom's never liked them, so we've never had them. Intresting to know.

Yay! I'm really happy that she got into nursing school. I'm sure we'll seem them around often enough.
