Yeah, I agree that Marky Mark's character was jarringly and artificially prickish from the get-go with no motivation whatsoever. His character actually didn't exist in the original, and in the original, Matt Damon's character gets away with. I like Scorsese's ending better, but they could have done it with a more believable character.

Driving is going to save us a big chunk of cash, so that's the route we chose.

I went to a pumpkin carving PARTY this weekend. It was fun and never since highschool have I heard "That's what she said" repeated so frequently. (mostly after comments about scooping pumpkin guts, the difficulties of carving, etc).
Good times. Pics to follow if I can wrangle some up. There was a pumpkin on fire, too.
