It's truly overwhelming to see the excitement and emotion erupting from not only all over the country, but the entire planet, in response to last night's news. I am very much inspired and feel hopeful for the future. January 20th couldn't come soon enough.

I was just thinking today about how long it's been since I've paid livejournal a visit, so here I am. I haven't seen much of anyone lately because of school and work, and I feel so completely disconnected from everything going on around me (except politics; every 4 years I allow myself to be completely sucked in). Today I had a front row seat to witnessing a laproscopic appendectomy and a kidney transplant. All I can say is wow. Absolutely incredible.

I may have found my niche. 
We'll see.

So, my first semester ended, and twelve days later my second one began.  Thank God for Portland, The Lamp (+ finally being legal), and Super Smash Brothers, because if it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't be enjoying such mental clarity at the time being.  Anyway, I'm two weeks into my summer session and I'm already anticipating the end, which ( Read more... )

I need a break.  Going nonstop 7 days a week is literally eating away at my sanity.

Some stupid bird committed suicide on my windshield this afternoon while I was driving home from work.  There's still a dusty wing print left on the glass.
