[on the grounds that i have Film Issues (even though i watched it almost *immediately* after reading the graphic novel - there are... problems? some of which i am still trying to articulate to myself) - er, this is mainly a plea not to hate the whole concept if the film leaves you cold. So, as often as I've tried, I just can't get into comics. Is a graphic novel a comic? See, I'm so out of touch, I don't even know. Sorry.
I can never seem to figure out if I read the entire page, the look at the pictures, or vice versa. My eyes don't know where to go first or in what order. Plus, I love the bright colors and pretty pictures, but it is almost like sensory overload.
Maybe I've just never had anyone who can explain it properly. IDEK.
