turtle_goose asked for my top 5 ways to fix series 6. "CHANGE EVERYTHING" didn't seem like a good answer, so I tried to work within the constraints of the basic plot outline of this season. Obviously this is really a top 5 ways to tweak series 6 to my liking.

tbh I think this does cover a lot of my major beefs with s6. I wouldn't even care about plotting I couldn't follow if it had the emotional realism I wanted. And it got really close with the Girl Who Waited and the God Complex. But I still don't even understand why what Eleven did in AGMGTW was supposed to be bad? And more to the point, why Day of the Moon was apparently supposed to be good.
The other potential solution, for the writer who doesn't want to bother with emotions is to STOP TRYING TO BUILD UP ELEVEN'S DARKEST HOUR/WHATEVER AND ALSO NOT LOSE ANYONE'S BABY.
But mostly I would have been more interested in a show where the characters were people and there were consequences of actions and stuff.

And yeah, honestly, you could also just NOT WRITE THIS STORY if you didn't want to follow through on it.

And omg DotM STILL MY LEAST FAVOURITE EVER. I mean... the Silence came back. Repeatedly. You'd think this would give someone a chance to deal with the fact that the Doctor's "victory" was THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I WOULD TAKE THEM OVER HIM TBQH. AT LEAST THEY HELP ME WITH SCIENCE.
It's so bizarre as well, because the Girl Who Waited and The Doctor's Wife and even The God Complex (minus the ending because IA on Amy/Rory dumping him) were such incredibly strong episodes and I think I liked them better than everything in s5.
Although by "bizarre" I think I mean "easily explicable when you realise who didn't write them".
