How can you write something so lovely and then end it with a kick to the gut? I suppose this is what canon does, but this is a fix-it fic! I guess my reaction means it was a success. Lovely moment!

Sorry! I couldn't really write fic set in JE without bringing it up, could I? lol. I dunno that I meant it to be a fix-it so much as just a... deleted scene sort of thing. Missing moments are some of my favourites to write.

You nailed them all prefectly. Bless, the Doctor knowing as much of how to talk to girls as my tweenage brother. *pets him*

Also loved the bittersweet ending. I am also half inclined to believe they planned the whole thing. Every bit of interaction was dead in character. I loved this. ♥

Ahahaha. I think he'd be really sort of boggled as to how to talk to Rose when Ten's still floating around. I think he'd be keenly aware of the fact that both a) he is the Doctor and b) everyone else doesn't really think he's the Doctor, and with Rose in particular he wouldn't quite know what to do with that.

I think they must've, though I don't imagine it in a ... "let's sit down and plan this" sort of way so much as a... sort of... unspoken mutual understanding.

Aww, TenToo, poor woobie, feeling all spare and neglected *squishes him* I so wish RTD gave us that bit of their interaction BEFORE BWB, it'd be much easier on us in the light of later events *sigh* Lovely fic)))

Poor guy, I think he would feel sort of superfluous on the TARDIS in JE -- I mean, it's pretty clear that everyone is looking to Ten for instruction and it's Ten that everyone says goodbye to, and even while rationally part of me assumes this is because it was a lot easier to just have David Tennant film a majority of it in one suit, it still seems like Ten is the one running the show and Cloen is just kind of ... there. And I think it'd be this weird mix of him not thinking of himself as less/somehow other, but being very aware that that's how everyone else sees him.

I'm afraid that's just how it was :( Ten was clearly in charge.
