Apart from him donning an American accent (ew) I'm not THAT put off by it. IDK, could be fun? Can't tell before it's actually being made right?

Also you'll be glad to hear that I am in the middle of acquiring HIMYM and Arrested Development (I watched a couple of episodes but they aired so late here I gave it up).

8. Tosh saved the entire Torchwood team even after her death. Now that's bad ass.

I'll probably check out the pilot and see what I make of it, but the sentence summary is so hilarious and... NBC... and.. I dunno, I find it really funny. LIRL

I had a similar reaction David Tennant on that NBC show. I hear his American accent is poor. It all makes me rather Pessimistic. But then, he's talented. Maybe he'll make it amazing.

I haven't heard his American accent but the idea of him doing one doesn't excite me very much. American accents aren't exciting and exotic! Roll your rs more!

I fully support David being in a new show, as long as it's well written. Although I will definitely miss his accent.

HELL YEAH DONNA IS YOUR FAVORITE. Don't deny it. :) I was going to post that Donna/Ten II clip, but you beat me to it. I love it. I could sit here and watch it all day.

And lirl, I couldn't decide on a favorite Arrested Development character, so I didn't put it. Buster? GOB? TOO DIFFICULT.

It doesn't really sound like the kind of show I'd be into, which is fine because, you know, I do not expect him to cater his career to my particular taste. The American accent thing does seem quite tragic though.

I knew I loved Donna, but I am very fond of Ten as well. So obviously Cloen is the answer.

IT IS VERY DIFFICULT. Buster is definitely not my concrete favourite, he's just who I felt like when I ddi that meme.

Oh, but both the Scottish accent and the estuary accent >>>>> American accents. Especially fake American accents. I mean, I don't have anything against (most varities of) American accents, but they certainly aren't the automatic +5 sexy points that (most varieties of) British accents are. It's just kind of like "...oh, an American accent." Except not eve, because you don't register your own accent as an accent. Um. Yeah.

Those are probably the top three. But then idk, I also love Lindsay, and Lucille is the HBIC, and George Michael cracks me up even if Michael Cera sounds like a diva.

TOSH IS THE BEST. I'm pretty sure she was the only competent one. Also probably the only one the Doctor wouldn't've given a time out to if he'd shown up in s1 or s2.

Now I'm imagining that situation, the Doctor going around, enumerating the various faults he sees, and telling each Torchwood member to go sit in the corner/go to their room and think about what they have done!
Owen: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all (which would be impressive coming from Rude And Not Ginger).

LOL, on the other hand, my roommate thinks that Jack likes Gwen because she reminds him of Rose. However, she is clearly not Rose, and therefore cannot get away with anything in the Doctor's eyes...

Oh he would definitely not be impressed. Especially with Ianto's Cybergirlfriend shenanigans. Frances and I have fanon about angsty Doomsday Ten walking back to the TARDIS and passing Ianto who is crying under a desk somewhere in Torchwood.

Or Owen's... general... assholery. Sometimes I wonder if there is an altOwen working for Torchwood in Pete's World, and if there are, precisely how many screaming matches he and Cloen have gotten into.

Haha I've heard that theory before. I did feel like Gwen was supposed to be the Torchwood "companion", and it always pissed me off because they are not 900-year-old Time Lords, they don't need a companion going around being oh so ~human~. But I suspect it might just be Chris Chibnall's inability to write anything decent, because I did really like Gwen in COE. RTD's women always kick so much ass, I am going to miss it.
