I listen to music through headphones, it helps me to zone out and get away from stuff. I also blog in my journal about how I'm feeling and/or what is upsetting me.
- take space from others so I don't blow up at people I'm not sure if I'm actually angry with - take deep, calming breaths, and see if I can see a "theme" to my anger. Sometimes that helps me pinpoint the origin. - Get the anger out physically, usually by taking a brisk walk or working out. Occasionally, I'll beat the crap out of a pillow. - talk it through with someone I trust or write it out. Sometimes having the insight from an outsider helps, and writing it down helps me pinpoint the origin, too.

Or I meditate. I use mala beads to count out 108 gayatri mantras. It steadies my breathing and lowers my blood pressure.
Or I run some cold water over my hands and wrists, imagining all the anger draining out through my hands and down the drain.
Or I sing along to really angry screaming songs.
Or if it gets really bad, I take an old glass and smash it. Thrift stores are great for old glasses...just be sure to wear shoes and eye protection.
