If you ever need a pick-me-up around the holidays, go to the arrivals part of the airport. Cheesey, I know. But Christmas morning in Arrivals is a really happy place. Very huggie, very smiley. Very happy.

When they post job openings to work in Financial Aid offices, there is no doubt in my mind that under the "Qualifications" section it reads: "must be able to be a major bitch"

The only things in my fridge are leftover pizza and lasagna, and 2.5 bottles of Blue Hawaiian Boone's farm (yay no sales tax in NH!)

My entertainment center is constructed out of bed risers a shelf and two storage totes.

I missed college. It's so good to be back.

Yeah, so, I just got my acceptance letter from Plymouth State... couple of days too late.

I am sticking with Keene State just because everything has worked out really well, like it's a sign or something... But I am going to see if I can defer my acceptance to Plymouth 'till the Fall, just in case.

I rang in the new year sitting in a plow truck removing snow from the roads. As my Gramps pointed out, the little things like that seem lame and sucky right now, but in a few years it'll be a night that sticks out most in my memory.

Here's to starting a new year out the right way- with a smile and a good memory.
