I've noticed that there hasn't been much activity in this comm lately. Sure there are the occasional fic updates and requests, but they're rather few compared to how the many there were during the community's heyday. Well...bottledfreedom and I have been talking and we came up with the idea of hosting our own version of

idk about this one, but the whateverfests at antirukichan have lasted for 10 days+ when they were going - basically it's not over before people stop commenting :)
And seeing as _quaint is a bigger comm, I imagine it'll be alive for a bit longer, but idk. I hope it will, because I'll most likely finally have time to draw, so... 8D

This comm is huge, and...idk...but I think there are members who actually have good talents in writing and drawing. It's just they don't have time...or idea...or courage to start, so basically yes, this fest is a great idea.

Yeah, I just hope people won't be too shy to join in. Hopefully we'll get a lot of people participating! It's not about talent, it's about having fun and getting inspired. I'm really looking forward to this because it'll be a nice push for me to get back to drawing a bit more often again.

i'm pretty excited on the idea of this. :) i've participated in antirukichan's whateverfests whenever i could and i agree that in a community this large, it might definitely (hopefully) spur a large turnout! i'm all for it! :D

hopefully many others will too. it'll be good to see.

i think it'll be good to mention in the post that with the whateverfests, regardless of when it begins, it's something that continues going for days no matter when others jump in (so like if you start this weekend, there's no time limit?). since i did see a concern about it!

Yes yes yes! I've always participated in the whateverfests/drabblefests at antirukichan and they're incredibly fun even though the member list is not that huge. I reckon it could be just as fun here.
