Aug 02, 2007 22:06

A few weeks back, friend and photographer Emma Delves-Broughton (http://www.emmadelvesbroughton.com) photographed a couple of my masks. Here are a few of the results from the sessions:

The photos are wonderful! I won't even mention the masks (because we already know your talent), but Emma did a really great work with your masks :) Does she have a website where I can see more of her works?

I hope you're doing fine :)

Good to hear from you, I'm doing fine :))) Thanks for your sweet words. I was excited to see how Emma would work with the masks, and I really like the resulting pictures! A link to her website is at the beginning of the entry, definitely go over and take her look at her beautiful images!

Hope all is well with you :)

Absolutely fantastique! I'm trying to not covet the "Blood Kiss" mask, but it's a challenge :)

It's eerie because I have a sketch from before we did the very first ever photo shoot for Atrocities that looks soooo similar to the last photo you posted with the uprooted tree as the backdrop ~ ours had a hooded female figure kneeling on the ground in profile too! That's one of the only photos from our inspiration sketchbook that didn't end up happening so it's really beautiful to see something so similar come into being these years later... Wow.

Congratulations on all the beautiful capturing of your art ~ these are lovely!

Thank you so much hon :)) I'm lucky to have my art photographed by two such creative and talented photographers and I love the beautiful imagery they come up with!!! Pleased you like 'BloodKiss' as well, she's one of my favourites :) She's not a one off piece I will be making more 'versions of her as and when ( ... )

Actually, Downs is sometimes used out here too ~ as in "Suffolk Downs" (then again writing the name down now, I see just how British that actually is!) ;)

I can totally see now that they aren't upturned roots ~ I think I just got excited at how similar it looked to the old sketch that I didn't look closely enough at the "underside" of the tree. That is a beautiful old Hawthorn! If I'm ever in that neck of the woods, I'll have to see them in person... I would love to sit in the middle of one. Could you imagine having an actual *chair* like that in your home? So magical :)

Oooppss, sorry for all the typos!! Also by the 'Downs' I mean hills, I forgot when I was writing that it may not be a term you're familier with... and if you're not that sentence I wrote sounds very odd..lol :) xxx

Thank you so much :)))) It's really lovely to hear from you, I'm so sorry that Chris and I haven't been around here much recently. Life has just been so unbelievably hectic and busy. We've only been able to grab a few mins online now and again!! We were both really sorry you've been having such a rough time of things. We hope that everything begins to settle for you really soon hon.

Thanks for your lovely compliments (I LOVE the pictures as well, two such amazing photographers!) :))) Really happy you liked the pieces so much. I'll post the piccies of the new piece in the next day or so, just got to find time to upload them from the camera!

Take care and wishing you all good things:))

Your kindness and thoughts are always very appreciated and please tell C I said thanks for the warm fuzzies as well!!

I am much, much better and I don't intend to go through anything like that again, so hopefully matters in that arena will now progress in a mellow and more controlled and positive fashion--thank you again. I'm growing back my zen mind to replace this exhausted one slowly but surely! (imagine underground lab of evil with brains in jars, really, it's not that far off the mark, lol).

Can't wait to see the new work--will look forward--be well, many blessings and love, tell C hugs from me also.
