My apartment is eerily quiet.

I've had my niece here for a few days, and now that she's gone, it's really quiet here. Which I was looking forward to, but just seems a little odd now. Denise had surgery on Wednesday, and they let her go home just before noon today--the surgery went better than expected. I forget how old Michaela is. I'm glad you had fun together. :) And I'm glad the surgery went well.

My mom has a turntable that will burn CDs from a vinyl record, and I went through a bunch of our old records awhile back. It was so fun! One of my brother's and my favorites was called Wacky Westerns - some of the kookier oldstyle country and western songs from before we were born.

Oh, that record sounds like fun. I used to have goofy records with stuff like, "May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose." It's hard to beat a title like that. *g*

"May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose" was on our Wacky Westerns album! For some reason that song about Running Bear and Little White Dove was on there too, and "You Can't Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd," "Hot Rod Lincoln" I think.
