I am very pleased to present a fic I began less than a week ago and yet have put through multiple stages of betaing and in-depth revision. :)  It's an accomplishment, okay?

So, it's pretty similar thematically to Only Skin Deep, but without Wincest.  And just so you know, it's a totally indulgent fluff fic, without pretense.

God, the fear Sam must have felt after a nightmare like that. It could so easily have been the truth. Dean and John dead. Lost and he might never know where or how. Just heartbreaking.

Yeah, it's really true. I think he managed to repress his fear/worry for most of his time at Stanford, but times like these it really gripped him by the throat and he didn't know how to deal except by hearing his big brother's voice.

This is so breathtaking, 'cause it's just that scary and sad and omgwhatifitwereTRUE? D:

Poor, poor Sammy. Poor Jess too, 'cause he wacked her one. But more poor Sam, needing to hear Dean's voice and be comforted by his big brother.

Also, I love that he heard John ask if he was alright. Loved it. ♥

This is going into my memories for being completely made of win GEN. S'that lovely.
