So, I bought the dark blue Guide Vogs and I kinda love them a lot. A bit on the small side, but a few hours wear around the house helped a lot (can't wear them out of the house yet. The ice may have melted, but I'd freeze my toes off ( Read more... )

making David an asshole is a result of the curse,
Is that something that the producers have said? Because if that's what they're doing with the modern counterparts, that's not something I've picked up on. Maybe Mary Margaret, but pretty much everyone else are defined by the characteristics they have as their fairy tale selves.

Also, David isn't exactly a saint or wholly nice in fairyland, so how does it making him an asshole help?

She also tried to convince me that David and Mary Margaret were NOT cheating
I'm completely with you on your line of reasoning. It was cheating, no two ways about it. And even worse, in some respects, was the fact that he lied to Mary Margaret.

And then she topped it off with "lol, it's just a tv show, you need to relax!" and that's when I blocked her, Your Honor.
This is the worst. (Her, not you.) And so hypocritical. Who just spent a ton of time talking about the show on the internet?

The worst thing is that she seems to have gotten this from the creator's Twitter, so I'm totally expecting them to ( ... )

Mary Margaret is timid while Snow White is bold, Prince Charming is noble while David is an ass. And that's pretty much it. If they feel that this is what they're doing, they need to start spelling it out in text because obviously they're not doing a good enough job of portraying it so far.

I voted for the teal bag as it is bigger without being too big. With that one you could leave the house for the day and not necessarily need anything else. With all the others you'd probably be carrying a second bag. The nylon, to me, isn't a problem as the bag itself is stylish. Nylon is tough and will take a beating.

My second choice would be the brown leather. Very pretty bag. But at $309 you'd be heart-broken when it got scuffed or sliced on some trip.

The teal bag a good casual bag, but I can't help but feel that it's going to be a problematic camera bag. The only way to carry other stuff in the bag is to put it on top of the camera equipment. So anytime you want to take a photograph, you have to struggle to get it out of the bag.

Which is not a problem with the ONA bag since there wouldn't be room for anything else.

I'm very much leaning towards the first bag because I saw a video review of it and it looked to be very functional and was much smaller than I thought while still having room for a lot of equipment.

For me, just like New Girl has toned Jess down, I think they've made Schmidt more loveable rather than quite as douchey. He still has his moments but I like him more now.

For me, it's not so much that they've made Schmidt more lovable, but that they've toned down the douchiness. Doesn't make him an awesome guy or character, though.

I am also becoming more bemused with OUAT. At the start I thought that I knew where they were going - everybody had these equivalent, but not quite right, lives in Storybrooke and they were all therefore destined to be miserable. I can understand why David and MM cannot be together, because that's the whole point of the curse, but I have no idea why they've turned David into a douche to enable this. Utterly mystified. I've gone from having sympathy towards the guy who woke up and found himself in this world where he couldn't understand why he wasn't with MM but decided he owed it to his wife to make a go of things, to finding him to be the most unsympathetic character on the show. Why would he allow everyone to be hating on MM - he said that he would tell Kathryn that they were over. I don't know why I still watch this, other than the fact that the previews for this week look fabulous. Snow and Red and the Big Bad Wolf? YES PLEASE ( ... )

I worry that the thread above is spelling out the problem all too well: the problem is that the creators don't see it as a problem. And honestly, while the cheating is a huge problem, the lying to Mary Margaret is as bad in my mind, especially since it's what led to the whole shunning thing and he hasn't stepped up even a little bit to take responsibility for that. And don't even get me started on the fact that while the whole town is calling Mary Margaret a tramp, David is getting off scot-free, and he's the one who cheated on his significant other. Can you say hypocritical much?

I think a lot of people are loving George for the simple fact that he was Jason Street in FNL, but I would rather that he went back there.Yep, I'm pretty much with you on that one. I don't dislike George, but I find him so incredibly blah I just heave a great sigh because I know I'll be bored for the next five minutes. And if Zoe is also in the scene, I stomp off in disgust to get a soda or something, because I know I'll be annoyed that they'll try to make ( ... )

Touch will be starting on March 22. I enjoyed the pilot, too.

Unless a pilot is leaked in the summer for a fall show, I've never known such a long stretch between pilot and new episodes. This was a web preview, though, right? Still seems weird to put it up so early and have people almost forget about the show by the time it actually airs.

I know what you mean - but no, it was on TV. The show has been getting a lot of buzz, though, and Kiefer is very popular and has been promoting the show. Still, I'm not sure why they previewed the pilot so many weeks early.
