So, I bought the dark blue Guide Vogs and I kinda love them a lot. A bit on the small side, but a few hours wear around the house helped a lot (can't wear them out of the house yet. The ice may have melted, but I'd freeze my toes off ( Read more... )

I am also becoming more bemused with OUAT. At the start I thought that I knew where they were going - everybody had these equivalent, but not quite right, lives in Storybrooke and they were all therefore destined to be miserable. I can understand why David and MM cannot be together, because that's the whole point of the curse, but I have no idea why they've turned David into a douche to enable this. Utterly mystified. I've gone from having sympathy towards the guy who woke up and found himself in this world where he couldn't understand why he wasn't with MM but decided he owed it to his wife to make a go of things, to finding him to be the most unsympathetic character on the show. Why would he allow everyone to be hating on MM - he said that he would tell Kathryn that they were over. I don't know why I still watch this, other than the fact that the previews for this week look fabulous. Snow and Red and the Big Bad Wolf? YES PLEASE!

Hart of Dixie is my guilty pleasure show, but I totally know what you mean about George/Zoe. I have no idea what the two of them are playing at. Why does George seem to be so in love with Lemon one minute and then hanging out with Zoe in a not-exactly-platonic way the next. I think a lot of people are loving George for the simple fact that he was Jason Street in FNL, but I would rather that he went back there. That way I can have me some Lemon/Lavon and Wade/Zoe all tied up in a nice little bow and the show can end happily. Wade's face is pretty much the only thing keeping me going at the moment. Doing the thing that's right for the girl you like, even if it means your own heart breaks a little in the process? Those are some actions I can get behind!

Love your New Girl comments. Although I kinda love Schmidt because every so often he surprises you by not being a douche. Of course, there was no way anyone else was going to take it in FMM - it's like fandom rules or something. It would have been nice if Jess could have won. Now that she's less grating!

I worry that the thread above is spelling out the problem all too well: the problem is that the creators don't see it as a problem. And honestly, while the cheating is a huge problem, the lying to Mary Margaret is as bad in my mind, especially since it's what led to the whole shunning thing and he hasn't stepped up even a little bit to take responsibility for that. And don't even get me started on the fact that while the whole town is calling Mary Margaret a tramp, David is getting off scot-free, and he's the one who cheated on his significant other. Can you say hypocritical much?

Yep, I'm pretty much with you on that one. I don't dislike George, but I find him so incredibly blah I just heave a great sigh because I know I'll be bored for the next five minutes. And if Zoe is also in the scene, I stomp off in disgust to get a soda or something, because I know I'll be annoyed that they'll try to make them work when I already know they don't work for me at all. In fact, the two of them together only makes me like both of them less.

The thing is that when the best you can say about someone is that sometimes he's not a douche, then that's not very good at all.
