Won't Get Fooled Again.

I've reached episode 15 of season 2 in my Farscape rewatch (it's slower going now that I've reached season 2 and actually want to watch certain episodes start to finish). Every damn time I watch Won't Get Fooled Again I get this urge to cap it. So I finally did. And then there was the urge to picspam it, because aside from being the most ( Read more... )

The story behind the manip: The night the second part of PKW aired, Someone (Shanni, I think) accidentally fucked up their friends cut and I got spoiled for D'Argo. And it was in the middle of the swimmerlust (or shortly after) and Angie was working nights. and while part 2 of PKW was downloading she was comforting me by telling me Grant hackett was dressing up as D'Argo to comfort me. So we had this running joke about "Grant as D'Argo" for a while, which turned into "Grant Loves D'Argo" and just... downhill from there. I think I'll post the emails sometime because it was DAMN hilarious.

ANYWAY, it also involved a kangaroo dressing up as Jothee and the phrase "Wearing swimcaps over tankas"... we're weird.

Hi, your taking the stone icon is PRETTY!

I knew it had something to do with swimming, but since I never dove into that particular pool of crazy I never really got it.

Okay, now you have to post those e-mails, because the mind, it boggles.

we're weird.
Yes, we know. ;-)

Thank you! And I love yours. When I was selecting caps from that episode I so wanted to do something with that one, but all I could think of was your icon and how I'd only end up copying it pretty much exactly.

The LJ icon size limit is criminal. I say they should up it to 60 KB, at least. Though, I recently uploaded an icon that LJ said was 40.2 KB and it still accepted it. Maybe they did change the limit? But I doubt it would be high enough to accomodate 140 KB (ouch, by the way. Also? Heeeee!).

Ohhh, I love this episode so so much. That cap of John with the gun and the red-rimmed eyes is so quintessentially Farscape to me. Probably because I'd seen Angie use that icon a whole bunch before I'd even watched the series. Plus, Crais and the red high heels will never ever not be hilarious. :)

This episode was the first where I really saw just how far they were willing to go with their characters and their storylines. Before that I thought that they might make the occassional cracktastic overture, but this episode proved that they were willing to go above and beyond the call of crack.

Seriously, EVERY show should have a fucked up dream episode. I will always remember watching it for the first time...ON A PLANE, and trying not to burst out into insane laughter.

I miss WGFA so much. And this show.

You know, there are fabulous examples of this phenomenon, but the VM one didn't really make the grade. When you do dreams you have to really go all out and theirs was just too tame, too ordinary.

trying not to burst out into insane laughter.
For me it would have been alternating between guffaws and heartwrenching sobs. John on the floor of the club with his cancer-sick mother hovering over him is one of the hardest scenes for me to watch. He just looks so broken.

I'm not so much with the missing of WGFA since I just saw it. Twice. But I do miss this show.

Ohh. Yeah, I didn't even *think* of the VM one. It didn't even register. It's like you said, if you're going to do dreams you have to have the CRACK.

And oh, I didn't get to watch the whole thing on the plane [my battery died!] and hadn't gotten to the sad parts yet. Luckily. Because oh my god, the part with his mom KILLS me.

Well, see, I miss WGFA and Farscape because hecatehatesthat still has my DVDs still. Heh. ;)

This picspam is so pretty and full of crack I could explode. I can't believe I forgot about Toto or the heels! And Pilot on the drums!

The part with Johns mom was just aweful, though. And made it so much more moving when he sees her again later on.

Also, I'm now completely in love with that cap of Zhan between John's legs. Hee!

I think WGFA is so chock-full of crack that one can only retain 50% at any given time or YOUR HEAD WILL EXPLODE! Why can't more shows be this crackified?

I love that entire sequence with bondage and lesbian fantasies galore! Not to mention naughty nurses doctors.
