No, TAR aired last night... that's one more show I've finally gotten sucked into. ;)

But why is the rum gone it not showing up? I need my Phil fix!

Does that mean you've only just started watching this season? How do you like it?

Now that I couldn't tell you. It took AI forever to show up a couple of weeks ago, too, when my DVR screwed up and didn't tape it....it wasn't posted until about 5pm the day after it aired.

And yes, I've been meaning to start watching TAR for a couple of seasons now, but never got around to it. Then I remembered it this year, and ended up watching the first four episode all in one afternoon. I would kill to be able to do something like that...travel around the world and have someone else pay for it! The only thing is they don't get to spend long enough in one place to really find out what it's like there, and that's what I love the most about traveling. But as a show, it's great.

Also, the new P&P is quite good. Not as complete, obviously, as the Firth version, and it's certainly got its own take on the book. But I enjoyed it a lot, and I tihnk it did a better job than previous versions on really making it clear that the Bennetts are not the same class-level as the Darcys and Bingleys.

North & South is pretty much the best thing ever. Yes, better than the BBC P&P, even.

Well, I guess that remains to be seen (for me) but I find it encouraging that so many people like it.

You wouldn't happen to know how long it is? One of my favorite things about the P&P mini is that it's ten hours, so basically you can just put it on and forget about the rest of the world for a day. But N&S was only £12 which is probably too cheap for a mini that's that long. Unless I'm extreeeemely lucky.

Well, it was four parts, and I think they were about an hour each. It's been a few months since I saw it though.

Yes, there is mad love. Mad, mad love. Right after I bought it I capped a few scattered scenes, but watching it now I kinda want to cap the whole thing. Which would be a lot of work and I'm buried in it as it is.

I would highly recommend North & South!

A working class Pride & Predjudice. I was so hooked on this adapatation so much in fact i bought the book. I do enjoy the new P & P but sadly i don't think it's any comparison with the 1995 BB adapatation with our beloved Colin.

I do hope you enjoy North & South.

I doubt that a feature-length movie could do the book justice, but I hear it's not bad. Plus, it wasn't that expensive and it's not even out here yet, so getting it from the UK just seemed like good sense.

North & South is wonderful - fabulously acted, visually stunning, good direction, and a great story. I hope you enjoy it.
