I think April is very cute and quirky. Wrong move on Luke's part for holding off so long before telling Lorelai but I hope to all things good and holy that this wedding actually works out. *crosses fingers*

Alexis Bledel is very pretty. And not much else. She seems to have gotten worse over the years. Or perhaps it is because she just looks fake and ridiculous next to Lauren Graham who is so flawless in playing Lorelai. *shrug*

... I think I may need to steal a few Breakfast Club icons. :)

I think my biggest beef with the whole thing is that all the obstacles they threw up were just stupid and didn't seem "obstable-y" enough. I like the storyline, though, because it's always seemed so much like Luke doesn't have anything of his own, he's just latching onto Lorelai's life. This is something he has that's completely separate from her.

You'd think that an actress would be interested in honing her craft, but not Alexis, it seems. The only scenes I can think of off-hand where she's good are scenes between Rory and Jess, but that may be because of her relationship with Milo making her more comfortable, or possibly challenging her more.

Enjoy the icons! =)

I do like how Luke has his own little storyline apart from Lorelai. But I never thought that Luke was getting, you know, boring or stale before the April storyline appeared. I really hated it but after last night's episode I'm warming up to the idea of Luke having this other side of him. I guess this is to balance the possibility that Luke and Lorelai if/when they get married they may never have kids of their own? And with Rory in her 20s now they wanted to give Luke something more to exercise his skills as a father? Or maybe add another twist to the relationship he has going on with Lorelai ( ... )

It was never that I found him boring, it was that he seemed almost needy before. With the house and his freak-out about the relationship and all that? It just didn't feel equal, because if it all went to hell it seemed that Lorelai would just go on as before and Luke would be pretty much broken.

I haven't really gotten annoyed at her high-pitched baby voice yet (though I'm sure I will now that you pointed it out. Thanks! ;-), but I find it's very common of mediocre actresses to start up with that kind of fake voice after they've played a character for a while. Why is that?

Did you see last week's GG when Rory had to talk to the psychiatrist and she was "crying"? Oh man, it was painful to watch. She really can't pull this stuff off. Besides, I can hardly take her seriously with all the make-up they slather on her face.

I don't mind the daughter storyline, but I hate the fact that it took him two months to tell Lorelai. Especially since he got so mad at her for not telling him about Christopher. I think I'm just watching out of loyalty these days.

See, if I didn't know better, if I'd been a new viewer or something, I would have thought that the character was faking it for the psychiatrist because it was just so horrendously bad. Sadly, though, I've gotten so used to AB that the notion never even entered my mind as I was watching. I hardly even noticed it, to tell you the truth. I've become desensitized to her crappiness.

I wouldn't have minded the long delay in telling her if they'd only made it seem like he had real obstacles. The ones they threw in his way were just melodramatic and in no way anything that would have prevented him from telling her.

I'm still hoping the show will end on a good note (please lord, I hope it's the end), but when even Lorelai's obvious pain at the end of the episode just made me shrug you know the show's not doing it for you anymore.

I think they are talking about one more season and then that's it. Maybe to see Rory graduate or something, since she made that comment about doubling on her courses to graduate on time. Another problem I see with the show is that Lorelai and Rory aren't that cute anymore. Their quirky habits... getting old. And Rory's relationship with Logan is beyond boring. I see no chemistry between those two.

And yeah, it irritates me so much that they re-used an actress for another role. Maybe it's glaringly apparent, because I watched her first episode only a few weeks ago, but it's not like she is such a fabulous actress that they couldn't NOT use her. She must be someone's wife/girlfriend/best friend/play mate.

Oh, no! Another season? Are you sure? I really thought this would be the final one. I'm depressed now, because I know I'll watch it till the end, but the way things are going right now I just won't care when it finally ends. Gah, and this probably means there won't be a season finale wedding and we'll have to wait until next year for it! Crap.

If it had been an unknown actress I wouldn't have minded, but Sherilyn Fenn is so recognizible that it's not like we're not going to remember she was in another episode - one that was supposed to have turned into a series, even.

Ooooh, and I just forgot that Butters was in the episode. Made me miss VM something fierce.

Oh, God. #3 is awesome. I'm snagging #8 and #12 (hee!) also.

Alexis Bledel is a major reason why I can't really get into GG. I love Lorelai and most of the other characters but I feel like Alexis doesn't act. She recites lines. It's such a talky show and while LG handles the dialogue well, AB's delivery just doesn't work for me. I'm in the "Like it, don't love it" category.

Heh, thanks. Isn't that line just the perfect description of LJ?

I always thought that AB would get better as she got older, because that's what usually happens, you know? Not so much, it seems. Hardly anything that ever comes out of of her mouth sounds natural, and when it's supposed to be banter-y, that's a huge problem.

Ah. Alexis Bledel is partly why I couldn't get into the show. Good dialogue, yes... but I also need someone who can perform it and not suck.

Yeah. When she started in the role (and when I started watching) it wasn't as glaring because she was just a kid, but she's not getting any better and it's really disheartening.
