What is up with VM fic right now? Hardly anything has been posted for ages! I mean, I expected it to die down when the first bout of excitement died down, but I didn't expect it to keel over and die completely ( Read more... )

I gushed about Prison Break when I first caught the pilot, and it's definitely one of the shows I'm planning to follow this season. If I understand correctly, they'll be charting the break over the course of 22 eps, so the entire season will happen within the prison walls. Their current plan for S2 is apparently something along the lines of The Fugitive, and I'm iffy about that, but the current storyline seems to be worth pursuing.

Oh, now see that actually makes it more interesting. The only thing I'm weary of is if a three-month period stretched out over 8-9 months will seem too drawn out, and if the actual break will coincide with the one brother's execution. Or at least be too close to defy belief. I feel it'll be overly melodramatic if they plan all those events to come to a head in the finale.

As for the Fugitive, that's kinda how I saw the show from the start, so I'm fine with it. I'm guessing in season 2 they'll be working to clear the older brother. As long as they don't clear him and then make up some other, utterly ridiculous, reason for them to stay on the lamb, making it into another A-Team or something silly like that.

I think Stormare's default more or less is ... seed-ish. ;-) Then again, I haven't seen this new thing.

Also, I got your tip. My eps are from that place too (most often the ez-tv? link), so I guess I'll just have to invest in one of those .avi-playing DVDs. Sigh. But thanks. :-)

I almost have to cap it so that you can see. I almost couldn't tell that it was him because he looked so...old. And there was a gut. And a receding hairline, with the added bonus of long, greasy hair.

These days it's probably worth it. I actually saw a Div-X playing DVD player at Claes Ohlson for 500:-. I doubt it was region free, but that shouldn't matter, I don't think.

Well, he's never exactly been a beauty. And he's getting older. But the hair *shudders*, that has to play a big part.

Ooh? Great! Will check it out next week. 500:- is more than worth it. :-)

The lack of fic is just depressing. But, like, after a reread I'm not happy with my last fic at all and that's just not helpful for when you're trying to write something else. Seriously. Black hole of doom. I'm actually making icons - that is how crazy it has become.

The lack of fic is slowly crushing my will to live. /melodrama

See, I liked the fact that your last fic is so totally what I can see happening on the show. It's also kinda depressing that it probably trumps my expectations for season 2. Argh, this is killing me! The worst part is that I don't want to read spoilers because I know they'll invariably read a lot worse than they are, and also, the start of the season will be building towards something, so it's never gonna start out how you want it to be.

And then I, occassionally, try to remember that the show isn't all about the 'ships. Not even close, actually. I'm just hoping they won't make it all about 'ships and triangles. That would probably piss me off more than if they killed the L/V 'ship entirely.

COMPLETELY. I would rather watch V and Logan struggle with some weird vaguely platonic URSTy relationship than see a show ALL.ABOUT.SHIPS. Because I love the understatedness.

I second your melodrama, someone needs to make a call into fandom HQ and find out what the hell is going on.

Well, according to another commenter, the first season will be spent plotting the break-out - which will in all likelihood occur in the finale. That way I can totally see them stretching it out over another season, where they're on the run while trying to clear their names. It's after that that things might get dicey. But at least it'll be two seasons that have the possibility for greatness, right? Also? Eye candy. *g*

The disappearing/reappearing comments have actually been going on for a while for me. I'm starting to think it's my computer, not LJ that's the issue. But then it only happens in select places, so maybe not...
