Riley laughed as she ruffled his hair, but he refrained from reaching up to retaliate. He didn't want to lose an ear, now, did he? Plus, she was so cute when she did things like that.
Then, he noticed something. He'd always saw it before, but never felt the need to say it.
"Never seen anyone else with those, you know" He spoke up shyly, "Your eyes, I mean.. those green speckles."
Her hands paused, and she titled her head to the side as she stared at Riley for a moment. No one had ever said anything about her eyes before. She always thought they were a bit odd. She couldn't help but smile.
"I think they're rather silly," she said. "I don't know who I get them from. Mum's got blue eyes, and Dad's got brown. I don't know, unless someone past us does, but even Grandmum has brown eyes..."
She was beginning to ramble, and she brushed her bangs out of her face. She trailed off and started working on his hair again. Of course, she was still smiling.
Riley would've shaken his head, but like stated before- didn't wan't to lose an ear. Honestly, he was disapointed. He'd always thought her eyes were rather stunning, but decided it best not to say so. Until now.
"You know, thats really a shame, you thinking your eyes are silly." He began, eyes still looking toward hers, "I've always thought they were quite lovely, really.."
Unintentionally of course, Cecilia's eyes widened as her hands stopped again. She wasn't going to get any work done if he kept saying things like that. She looked at him again, and did her best to ignore the flush that creeped into her cheeks.
