GODDAMN IT I LOST IT :|

OKAY FINE, AGAIN

Roy does not feel safe in camp. At all. In fact, he feels less safe and more wired and reckless.

BEFORE THE FUHRER CAME, Roy did feel resigned. He never quite felt safe, but it was close. He couldn't do anything in his country as it were, he's not the type that "gets used to camp" but he was settling enough for comfort. Envy was a severe problem for him, but he couldn't kill him in camp, so again, resigned. It would have to wait until they were out. Camp was extremely stagnant to him.

Then the Fuhrer came.

Now, Roy is NOT safe, nor is he resigned, or limited, or stagnant. Bradley is his target, and Roy has a lot of unanswered questions. Why is Bradley keeping him alive, even protecting him? Why has he watched him all this time? Does he actually think he can force him to open the Gate? Is he really loyal to Father? What is he after, how far is he willing to go to drop him hints about that? It's true that he can't kill him here, just like he can't kill Envy here, but he was fairly sure how ( ... )

Roy's reaction to finding out Haruhi had read some of FMA. Or just Roy on Haruhi in general. ♥

Roy really didn't like Haruhi reading FMA. First of all, there's the danger of anyone, particularly Himeko, who know about FMA as a comic, being interrogated or getting special attention from their enemies. Roy wants Haruhi nowhere near his enemies. Second of all, Haruhi is dynamic and charging and knows-what-she-wants and, basically, likes to have fun in Roy's view. And Roy really likes her to stay like that around him. He's never told Haruhi about his Mega Awful Past and Extreme Dangerous Life because she, like many women in his life, is separate from that. He has no real desire to tell her, and it's not a matter of trust or not opening up to her - if anything, she's one of the people he truly enjoys being around. It's just a matter of wanting that part of his life separate. He'd rather it not come up ( ... )

Roy's probable thoughts on realizing that Ami will not only try to find an even ground with Greed and Greed (2.0), but will probably be buddy/buddy with the Fuher.

Also, Yuusuke's thoughts on his OTHER SISTER IN LAW being in camp. 8D

Roy can warn people off the homunculus at least, and he'd warn Ami - or anyone else - about the Greeds if he thinks it's neccessary. But Roy's current stance on people befriending the Fuhrer is He Can't Say Anything. He basically fears whatever the hell the Fuhrer is up to here, but he's already under VERY clear terms that if he opens his trap or tells anyone unneccessary about the Fuhrer, he will pay for it, and so will his loved ones.

SO, she asks him what he thinks of Bradley, he'll say he's still shocked his leader is out here, and while he knows he can take care of himself he's still concerned about the hazards of this place, and he'll come to his aide if neccessary though he really hopes it won't ever be needed. :( In other words Roy will appear totally loyal and humbled and appear so completely flawlessly lolz.

AS FOR WHAT YUUSUKE THINKS ABOUT USAGI, HE HASN'T MET HER, BECAUSE I SUCK AND I JUST GOT BACK FROM VACATION WHY

BUT I LOVE IT

BUNNY ♥

THIS IS A VERY SITUATIONAL QUESTION.

Awright, as far as The Elrics are concerned, he thinks of them very differently but they're still "The Elrics." Everything he does with one, he assumes the other will find out, but it's also been brought to his attention that the two can function quite completely on their own, and they're very different types. Roy gets into fights with Ed on an almost petulant level sometimes, and has a lot of difficulty being direct with him; Whereas with Alphonse, it's more a matter of showing him something important and trusting him to make a calm decision and not begrudge him.

The best example of this behavior is how he handled Alphonse when he was pursuing Barry. That was right after he'd shown both of them a vicious, cold, murdering side and hadn't explained or denied it to either of them lol Maria Ross. Roy arranged for Edward, not both of them, to see her safe for himself. Apart from it being a lot less conspicuous than sending both of them, Ed was the one kicking furniture in the hospital and screaming ( ... )

So, I play Roy as an orphan and only child. This has to do with Fullmetal Alchemist's style when it comes to parents and family, and when I say style I mean central theme. It's not like other shows where parents are mysteriously absent or never mentioned; if a character is major enough, their parents come into play. Obviously with the Elrics, their parents are completely pivotal and vital to, oh, the entire plot of the story. The same goes for Ling - we know his situation. But this rule has been consistant with the adults, too. We know Hawkeye lived with her dad, and Havoc's mom came to see him in the hospital when he was critically injured. Parents are there. So Roy, who's like the third most major character at this juncture, has never been in contact with a parent or sibling. In flashbacks he never thinks about them, and never mentions them - he's shown telling his Master that he plans to join the military, not his parents. He didn't receive or write any letters during wartime, and is generally isolated except for Hughes. And ( ... )

Too lazy to change accounts.

Your thoughts on Team Amestris--which I kind of forgot about and no one reminded me of, heh--versus Izumi and Roy in camp?

HOKAY WELL

Izumi and Roy is one of my favorite relationships in camp, mostly because I love Izumi just consistently owning the hell out of Roy, and I love the unforgiving point of view she always brings to the table and always wonder if she's starting to bend just a little in that "oh fine I'm tolerating you" way because there's just no talking to him. Also, I love how they just. . . still aren't very good at actually communicating, but Roy's the one to kind of fold and give away his goals and core personality. Because in the end, Roy sort of wants to impress Izumi. He won't go out of his way, and it's not that he needs the validation, but he really respects her guts (lol) and her attidude - when he imagines the Fuhrer talking with her, he basically can't imagine Izumi putting up with any shit. And while this sort of worries him, it also kind of awes him ( ... )
