Harry was not in the mood to be packing, especially considering he wasn't even sure he was willing to return to school at all. Being told he had to pack only made him less inclined to get it finished ( Read more... )

Seamus sighed and scratched his head, glancing over to Harry and offering the boy a grin. "Better get on with it, mate, the sooner it's done, the less we'll have to do later. And anyway," he added, "when me mam speaks luike that, she means it."

"Anyway," he added, brightening up a bit at the thought as he knelt down besides his trunk to start, "we'll have fun afterwards, yeah?"

"If you think it's such a good idea, then you can pack for me, too," Harry replied, his tone a bit more clipped than usual.

His eyes shifted over toward Seamus next, and he watched him kneeling down. "And the faster you do it, the faster you can get to helping me have fun."

Seamus grinned, passing over the tone as if it hadn't been. "Yeah? And what do I get for that bargain?" he asked teasingly, starting to chuck all the clothes and schoolrobes his mother had washed into his trunk.

"And what if I pack it wrong for you, mate? I'm not like a madam of the household, I just throw things. Your clothes will be all wrinkly."

"You get to help me have fun," he answered graciously.

"And you won't pack it wrong for me. I don't care about wrinkles, and I can always have the elves or someone unwrinkle them when we get there," he pointed out.

Looking upward again, he stretched his muscles a bit, arching his back before falling back to the mattress. "How long is this going to take you?"
