Caught the flu on Saturday, but fortunately it was raining so we wouldn't have been able to paint anyway. Spent Saturday mostly unconscious, or in a haze for the brief moments that I could will myself out of bed, take some Tylenol, and drink some fluids. If I may be so bold to beg on this worker's behalf - please don't try to force him up on ladders if he is uncomfortable with them. I have the same problem, and my old College pro manager forcing me up ladders and generally being very insensitive to the subject was one of the main reasons that I left him. A fear is still a fear, regardless of how unfounded it is. Who knows, maybe the worker has had some childhood trauma with ladders that he's afraid to speak about... All I'm saying is that while it is unfortunate that his job requires using ladders - go easy and let him take the smaller ones and help him along bit by bit. Being intolerant or too pushy will only make things worse for both him and your team.

I do realize and I have been easy going with him on this, and trying to do all the really high up stuff while he does work that's he's more comfortable with. But when we're doing a house that requires us to both be realativly high up on ladders to do soffits, and there isn't anything else to do it's really inconvient. Plus I unfortunatly have to start getting him more on the ladders or else my Manager is going to fire him. I convinced her to give him a bit of a break, and have a bit more time too get used to things, but he's going to have to get used to getting on a 24 foot ladder.
