I just spent $350 at REI. Bought a sweet solo hiking tent (weighing in at a mere 3lbs 5oz), which I think will cut the better part of five pounds off my shoulders next week. I've been using this old wore-out two person tent for the last five years, so its nice to have a new option for solo trips. I also got a thermarest finally. I'm excited ( Read more... )

I loved that book. I read it awhile ago and looking at my bookshelf, I don't think I have my copy of it anymore.

I need to go out and buy more of his books though!

I borrowed it from felinefury and lemerde. Was that your copy??? I loved it. Definitely gonna have to read more of his work. And he lives in Portland. And went to U of O, where Ashley went.

I second your opinion of Da Vinci Code. Though I loved National Treasure, so I'm inclined to think my dislike was simply because it wasn't that gripping or exciting. Interesting and well told, but not a real thriller.
