You haven't had a "real" paycheck yet have you? They take at least 22% out of mine every time. I did get a chunck of it back from the government in the end but it still sucks.
Oh well, got to fund the public system, to bad they are not giving enough money to the bus system out here so my Shuttle ride to work is on the cutting block. Looks like its back to driving to work everyday next year.

it boggles my mind how public schools can squander so much money on so little, and yet private schools are able to do so much with the pittance they scrape together. I don't buy public school whining for more money. the money's there, but bureaucracy has it all tied up and wasted.

I give 20% of each of my paychecks as well. I don't have kids at all and I don't use half of the things the money is used for. And the roads being widened my house? I want it to be left as it is and I don't mind the potholes. And I don't want that mall either. My family lives out here for a reason. I hate that I am helping a system that isn't improving. The school system sucks. That money sure isn't paying teachers.
