if I choose to send my child to a private school, I have to pay a certain amount of money in order to have them educated there.
if I do not choose to send my kid to a private school, then I do not have to pay, because they are not receiving anything from that institution.
likewise, if I send my kid to a public school, I can understand the need to pay taxes to fund my child's education at that school.
however, if I do not send my kid to a public school, then I do not comprehend the need to pay taxes to fund a school from which my child is receiving nothing.
I consider that to be the government coercing me out of my money in order to pursue its own projects of which I do not approve and certainly do not support. that is bullying and theft.
