the thing that's important to remember is that he went among the 'sinners' for a very specific reason, that is, to turn them from their sin and tell them about the kingdom of God. he never went just to hang out and make friends. and he never participated or in any way condoned their sin.

anyway, as far as not always just being in the church, that's so right. in the bible, the church always gathered to encourage and worship, and then SCATTERED all over the place to spread the gospel. that's how it works.

Yeh exactly, being in the world but not part of it :) (i shouldve added that at the end of my rant lol)
Especially today. there are so many models for the church. we need church too, gathering to worship God, encourage eachother, learn, love and a huge host of other important reasons. But i think with all the technology we have today we are in such a good position to be more missional than ever before. If Paul was alive today, imagin where he would be going, and what he would be doing!! he'd love it! :)
