And this year's winner is...

Well, yesterday's meeting seemed to go well. We had a great turnout and a lot of new and eager faces.

The play got put to the vote and Romeo and Juliet won it by a nose. So here I go to brush up my Shakespeare, as Cole Porter would say...

Wonder who my Juliet will be...

Oh and the auditions times are yet to be arranged.

I wander round to where I spy Heather and lean against the wall. "Hi, there," I say, casually, figuring that as President, we should be on equal terms.

I raise an eyebrow at his demeanor. "You're Eric, right? The boy who sent the lovely flowers?" I smile, but I do stress the word 'boy'. "I've been meaning to thank you, it was a very thoughtful gesture."

"It was the least I could do," I say, of course using my most ingratiating tone. "After all, it must be hard settling into a new school at such short notice." I smile, to put her at ease. "If you have a moment, I'd like to talk to you about plans for the production."

"Yes, indeed, there's a lot to get used to. What sort of concerns did you have? I was thinking we should schedule auditions and divide into committees next meeting, now that we have our play."

He wants something from me, but I can't figure out what.
