Dax and May: Their Room: Morning

Groggy, his head heavy like wood, Dax opened his eyes, glancing around him for a minute. Bed, he was in bed, he wasn't wearing any clothes, and...oh yes. In her half-asleep and half-awake state, May could feel someone touching her. She stirred alittle in the bed, murmuring about squirrels in the cereal or something that sounded close to it. Her words were muffles as she face was currently smashed into her pillow. The pile of drool growing by the moment, but she wasn’t awake enough to care. The weight of Dax’s arm around her mid-section finally click in her head and she scooted herself closer to him and the warmth of his body. The night had been amazing, and she loved the way he treated her. Even in his most loving moments, he still showed her that he knew she was strong and that she could take what he wanted to give her. Other men, had always thought her to be weak, so they were always too gentle with her. Dax seemed to be able to read her mind and do just what she needed when she needed it ( ... )

Her movement pulled him away from the sleep threatening to take him again, and his eyes slowly opened, watching as she smiled at him then twisted under his arm, curling up close to him, their naked forms now nearly one again. "Mornin," he replied gruffly, kissing the tip of her nose before leaning his forehead against hers again. Wrapping his arm around her, he pulled in close and then worked to pull the blankets up again ( ... )

May nuzzled her way into the familiar nook under his arm. Dax was always so loving in the morning. Well, he was loving most of the time expect when she pushed his buttons to much. “Morning to you too.” She wrinkled her face when he kissed her nose. “I slept pretty good, but of course, Someone exhausted me last night..” She smirked at him, leaning upwards to nip at his lips before pulling away ( ... )

His head fell to the pillow as he was shunned, her back visible to him now as she sat there, talking to him over her shoulder, scornfully, clearly upset with his request. He'd known before he said it that it was shaky ground to walk on, but now he was instantly back in that dog house she kept so nearby for him, and maybe he hadn't meant it the way she had interpreted it, suddenly becoming defensive over a misunderstanding ( ... )
