Forgive the attitude and feel free to just ignore this whole post - but honestly how much crap is one person supposed to take before we impload? I have a short list of things that are making me absolutely LIVID right this minute:

Cut for way, way too much swearing and word vomit. )

real life ucks!, bad daddy, breaking dawn, brady, superman, midnight sun, megan

Meltdown totally justified.

I've not seen the Midnight Sun hoopla, so I'll have to check it out.

I have to say, I'm not looking forward to Gustav. Overreaction? Maybe. But what with having to clean up one downed tree with the sad little pathetic Fay two weekends ago, I'm not eager for a repeat.

Hope your Labor Day weekend is a bit more restful and stress reducing.

Thanks, I needed it. I hated to see that about your gorgeous tree. I'm not eager for any of it either, but I have a plan if things don't go how I think they will (which is IF it doesn't die, hits Mexico instead) - but then again that could be me just not wanting to deal with it even mentally. Bah.

Yeah, I hope so too. I think we all need a mental break now and then.

Agreed with above, meltdown is totally justified.

Midnight Sun is seriously dragging down my day. SMeyer is just, unbelievable ungrateful to her true fanbase. End of story.

I wouldn't worry too much about Gustav. Before Katrina hit it was big news up in Canada too because it was obviously on a destructive path. Gustav has had minimal coverage and is only really being shown on American News because a lot of Am-News is propaganda based for that sort of thing. It's beneficial to the economy because people go out and over-buy emergency supplies out of panic.

Hope your kids do better in school. Getting F's all of a sudden in grade 5 sounds like there's something going on in her life all of a sudden and it's materializing as grades.

I totally agree on the Midnight Sun situation. I have been looking forward to that book ever since I fell in love with Edward Cullen back in early TWL. I think the developements she made in Breaking Dawn and now this just honestly make her one of the most batshit and ungrateful people ever. The fans made her and just like with sucky TV shows and all that - we have no choice but to just take it. *FAIL ( ... )

SMeyer takes herself way too seriously. She isn't going to continue the book because people saw a draft? It's totally compromised now? She'd have to change everything. Get over yourself you talentless bitch. I cannot STAND her and her high horse. She can take Midnight Sun and shove it.

Re: the Kindergarten homework. *hugs you* I have never heard of 3 pages of homework a night for a Kindergartner. My Kindergartner gets one page a week. LOL My 3rd grader gets 3 pages a night. I don't know how you do it. It seems excessive and I fear it could backfire into him hating school because it's so much work. :( Hang in there. I think Brady's behavior is probably rebellion against the tough teacher and all the work. It's not fair, to be honest, to expect a 5 year old to have that much discipline. The "best teacher in the school" sounds like she might not be the best after all? Ugh, I'm sorry.

Okay, not understanding her logic behind not finishing Midnight Sun, but I understand that she feels betrayed by those who she entrusted with various copies of the MS. Perhaps one day she'll get there. Who knows? Sorry you're pissed.

Brady started Kindergarten??? WOW, big time! Next year Lily goes and I'm not looking forward to it at all. I can't believe that she gives so much homework, that is just too stressful for a 5 year old. I don't think that makes a good teacher, it sets some children up to fail and that is not good. Kindergarten is about fun and learning, but at a pace that is easy for 5 year olds! Jesus Christ, they're still freakin' babies! I really would talk to her and tell her that all she's doing is stressing the boy out and you guys out with 3 pages of homework. Even if it's coloring, THAT IS TOO MUCH!!!! PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN!

Megan is probably going thru be-tween-itis... good luck:)

j_mac179 hasn't been heard from on LJ in a gabillion years!

I think you should e-mail Meyers and give her a piece of your mind!

I'm not completely sure I can be trusted to give SMeyer a peice of my mind and stay anywhere near rational. I didn't get that she was pissy about the copies she had out there at all - she even took the blame OFF the person the draft that got copied and put on the internet. She seemed like she was more angry that her precious perfect fans read it. You know, because even though most of the fandom has been waiting for literally YEARS for this book that she has been dangling the first chapter of like methodone to a heroine addict. But no, no one is going to read it ( ... )

The thing about the Twilight series that I love and hate is that the relationship between Bella and Edward is abusive. It's realistic, even though the guy is a vampire. But Stephenie is going to have to get over herself, as should the writers who have decided that fanfiction based on their work is intolerable. I hate whiners.
